Yes, really, because BBC2 was launched on the Monday following 'The Velvet Web' and up until that time BBC1 as we know it now was simply BBC-tv. And in 1963-64 when Dr Who began it was usual to have 'in-vision' continuity announcers such as the lovely and much lamented Anne Gregg, seen here when she was just 24.
